For those wanting to consecrate themselves to Our Lady and her humble servant St. Maximilian Kolbe and
For those of you who want to know more about us and/or pray along with us!"

"Pope John Paul II said that all methods of consecrating ourselves to Mary are equally worthy; but that Kolbean consecration adds a clear apostolic dimension." The spirit of the MI is the spirit of continual conversion but when lived in the spirit of willingness and humility, the Immaculata will elevate our natural gifts and inspire us to holiness and fruitful service within the Church!

    Novena Prayer to St. Maximilian Kolbe

    DAYS ONE THROUGH NINE

    O Lord Jesus Christ, who said, "greater love than this no man has that a man lay down his life for his friends,"
    through the intercession of St. Maximilian Kolbe whose life illustrated such love, we beseech you to grant us our petitions . . .

    (here mention the requests you have).

    Through the Militia Immaculata movement, which Maximilian founded, he spread a fervent devotion to Our Lady throughout the world. He gave up his life for a total stranger and loved his persecutors, giving us an example of unselfish love for all men - a love that was inspired by true devotion to Mary.

    Grant, O Lord Jesus, that we too may give ourselves entirely without reserve to the love and service of our Heavenly Queen in order to better love and serve our fellowman in imitation of your humble servant, Maximilian. Amen.

    Mmnn,.....love that coffee!! I am swearing off the sweets, however, as an old friend in my "new parish," talked me into joining the local exercise group. That and crocheting a cover to throw over my bed. Problem is, I was so worried that my "Afgan would be not wide enough that I got carried away and now that I am about 12 rows into it, I have finally realized that it will be 12 feet across!!! I may still be working on this at Christmas!!

    Thanks James, I took your advice and did ask St. Maximilian! I know that it won't be a one time thing, that I will need to keep asking for help with many things, but I guess that's just life. I do know that we all need to be praying more and I am seeing and feeling the need more and more each day. How about you?
