Thanks for the suggestions Beth and Mary Virginia! I do sleep with my rosary every night (although I'm not sure if I did when I had the dreams) and have sprinkled the room with holy water recently, but I have never tried blessed salts.

Just for the record-and I believe this-I think we are definitely in the "last days" and the Devil is running amuck-trying to get his "quota in" before Christ returns-so all...stay strong and don't be afraid, thats what he (the Devil) wants!

bgoins2-after seeing that movie whenever I would awaken around that time...and I did for awhile..I kinda felt creepy-but I prayed about it-and also I started sleeping with my Rosary-many times I awaken at 5am-pray my rosary and for the sick that I know..also started listening to Christian music on very low-I sleep alone-and drift off peacefully-when I awaken I hear my sweet songs playing..very relaxing...I have a remote so if it bothers me or too much chit chat I off it.

Bgoins- I have never heard of the time as significant, but using Holy water and blessed salts might help. A St. Michael prayer never hurts either!

Does anyone know if there is any truth to 3am being a very strong hour for evil? I had a few horrible "nightmares", although they were really much more real and much more frightening, and they all ended between 3:07am and 3:14am. I never drew a connection to the time, until seeing the movie Exorcism of Emily Rose, but I wasn't sure if there was any truth to the movie anyway. One priest did tell me that my dreams seemed to be very apocalyptic.

Greetings every body, thank you Gen02, Beth40n2 and Mary Virginia for your posts and advice. I'll follow that up with our Priest. I was at a seminary regarding the study of the ministry of deliverance. The question was "can true Christians be posessed?" The general consensus was no - only in a situation where Christ is denied. Christians can be oppressed for life though and need to go through the correct Church chanels, confession etc. for deliverance.
Occultic 'dablings', whether one's own or that of a parent or grandparent or close relationship could lead to oppression manifesting in patterns of negative self image, chronic behavioural and other seemingly irresolveable 'life experience" (lack lf word) problems. Posession in rural South Africa is often seen when a sangoma's 'power' leaves her body on her death bed and passes on to her granddaughter. I have not heard of a Christian Sangoma.

anyone watch the movie, "Exorcism of Emily Rose". I was very touched by this movie that was supposedly based on a true story. While it was quite spooky, there was none of the violence and thrills one could find in a movie like the 'Exorcist'. The ending said it all for me, as Mary appeared to the afflicted, possessed woman and told her that she was possessed as a sign to others that the devil truly exists and then offered the woman a choice, to be cured or to suffer and eventually die and give others a sign of both the existence of the devil as well as God and the woman chose to continue to suffer. I was very surprised that someone in Hollywood made such a movie that both brought Christianity and Priests in such a good light and also took the ideas of Christianity seriously. If you havn't seen the movie, I recommend it. God's Mercy conquors all. When I think of the dangers of the occult, I remember one of the founding Christian fathers, St Gregory the Great once say something like in the end, everyone will be converted to worshiping Jesus, even the devil, because the truth will win! It's a very comforting thought. and as expressed in the aforementioned movie, no one suffers in vain, God uses all suffering for the good. I am so happy to have this kind of faith.
