Fools say in their hearts, "There is no God." Their deeds are loathsome and corrupt; not one does what is right. The LORD looks down from heaven upon the human race, To see if even one is wise, if even one seeks God. All have gone astray; all alike are perverse. Not one does what is right, not even one. Will these evildoers never learn? They devour my people as they devour bread; they do not call upon the LORD. They have good reason, then, to fear; God is with the company of the just. They would crush the hopes of the poor, but the poor have the LORD as their refuge. Oh, that from Zion might come the deliverance of Israel, that Jacob may rejoice, and Israel be glad when the LORD restores his people! Pslam 15

Today is the feast day of Saint Blaise, Patron Saint of those with throat maladies.
Do not forget to go to Mass and have your throat blessed.
    Let us pray…
    Saint Blaise,
Pray for us that we may not suffer from illnesses of the throat,
and pray that all who are suffering be healed by God's love.
    Amen

    Saint John Bosco, Priest
(Monday of week 4 of the year)

Saint John Bosco was born near Castelnuovo in the diocese of Turin in 1815. His early years were most difficult and so once ordained to the priesthood he dedicated himself to the education of the young, founding congregations which would instruct youth in both the arts and the Christian life. He also composed pamphlets for the support and defense of religion. Saint Jonm died in 1888.-From the common of pastors-

We paise you, Lord, for calling Saint John Bosco to be a loving father and prudent guide of the young.
Give us his fervent zeal for souls and enable us to live for you alone.
[We make our prayer] through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever.
    Amen.- Universalis: LOH -

    1 Peter 4:10-11

Each one of you has received a special grace, so, like good stewards responsible for all these different graces of God, put yourselves at the service of others. If you are a speaker, speak in words which seem to come from God; if you are a helper, help as though every action was done at God’s orders; so that in everything God may receive the glory, through Jesus Christ, since to him alone belong all glory and power for ever and ever. - Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
    hallowed be thy name.
    Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
    and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. - Amen

    Acts 22:7,8
And Paul said. "I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying, 'Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?'
I answered, 'Who are you, Lord?' and he said to me, 'I am Jesus the Nazarene, whom you are persecuting.'"

Thank you to this group and this site for bringing me closer to God's vision for myself and my life. When I joined this site, I was seeking prayer support for myself however, what I have gained over the past several weeks is an increased prayer life focusing on the intentional prayer for others. AMEN! LIFE IS GOOD! AMEN!

Greetings, May the grace of our Father, and the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ, be with you:

Today is an official day of prayer and fasting to stop legalized abortion in this country and around the world. Let Us Pray.

    PRAYER TO END ABORTION:

Lord God, I thank you today for the gift
    of my life,
And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters.
I know there is nothing that destroys
more life than abortion, Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death by the Resurrection of Your Son.
I am ready to do my part in ending abortion.
Today I commit myself Never to be silent,
    Never to be passive,
Never to be forgetful of the unborn.
I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement,
And never to stop defending life
Until all my brothers and sisters are
    protected,
And our nation once again becomes
A nation with liberty and justice
Not just for some, but for all,
    Through Christ our Lord. Amen!

A PRAYER FOR THE UNITY OF ALL OF CHRIST CHURCH:
Heavenly Father, together with Your Son
You sent the Holy Spirit to Your church
and her children, and You continue to
send Him to work the wonders of Your
    love in us.

    Enlighten and strengthen through Him
our Holy father and all the bishops and
priest and minsters of Your Church so
that they might repair the schism that
exists within her walls and restore
full unity among all Christian peoples
of the world. Continue to confirm in
ever greater holiness all the different
states of life and every individual
soul within Your church, and lead her,
immaculate Bride of Christ, to victory
over all her enemies. Through the same
    Christ our Lord. Amen.
