To deal with any sinful nature you must know the difference between sin and vice. Sin is the effect and vice is the cause. Lust is a vice that causes the sin called adultery. Sin may be forgiven but vice can only be purged through suffering.
All vices are the same in terms of deadly potential. Craving for chocolates is as dangerous as Lust in its potential to drag a person to hell.
Vice is an interior defilement of our faculties which hampers our freedom to will rightly (or to do as willed) despite our spirit's good counsel, because of a wavering mind and a sensual heart. If there is no defilement, then the mind decides based on spirit's counsel and the heart obediently does the will of the mind. Because of defilement, our corrupted heart with sensual cravings overrules the spirit to influence the wavering mind. Even when we will rightly what is actually done is the heart's whim.
When we surrender through intellectual assent to God, we receive a divine power called Grace which gradually achieves freedom from vice. Suffering serves as an aid to the purgation process.

That's a good point, I think the reason why my dreams are extremely tame now is because of a certain medication which helps control my sleep disorder also helps control nightmares.

If you are not possessed, but only oppressed and or obsessed by demons, you do not need an exorcism. Exorcisms are only preformed on the possessed.
Any priest can pray a deliverence prayer over you so maybe you should ask another priest about that.
