That's a good idea! Only, it doesn't rain here, so we don't have "rain clothes."

Yes, and they're surprisingly expensive. I might as well buy new.

I have a little blue and green handmade knitted cap and booties set, sized for a preemie. It was given to me at the Ronald McDonald House by a vonlunteer when my little one was in the NICU. But since she's full-term and not a preemie, they're too small.

Let me know on this thread please if you're interested!

    ETA: I'll pay for shipping.

    How about this:
    • If people are offering freebies, then the sender pays shipping unless some other special arrangement is made. When posting a thread offering a freebie, please specify whether you can cover postage or whether you need the receiver to reimburse you for it.
    • If you're doing a trade, then each person pays shipping obviously.
    • If it's a buy/sell thing, then maybe the shipping could be included in the price.
    What do yall think?

We have a forum now! There's a link right under the Catholic Mommies Freecycle header up above. So you can start threads now.

Truly, I have no idea how to start a thread either lol. Let me look into it and see if it can be done.

ETA: ok, basically we can only start threads once we have a forum going (like we have over at Girly-Girls). However, we can't create the forum until we have more members. I'm not sure how many we need though....can't seem to find that info anywhere! Annoying.

Well I opened a thread in Parenting telling everyone about this place so maybe that'll get us enough members to get a forum started.

Can we start threads, like in the Girly-Girls group, or just post on the Wall here? I couldn't figure out how to start a thread, LOL.

I'm gonna make a general post on the Parenting forum about this. Also, I thought we could add another componant-- instead of just trading and freecycling things, maybe we could also offer this group as a place where people can put some of their used baby items up for sale? I think that might work for those parents on a real tight budget who want to get rid of stuff, desperately need money, but don't really need anything else that's being offered for trade. What do y'all think?

This probably ought to be a webwide idea set out there at large and advertized through some of the larger hubs like Catholicnet or Catholic online or something like that-any ideas?

This is a great idea! Maybe you could announce this group in the Parenting forum to get more people interested? I've seen this sort of thing on other sites, but I like the folks on CAF so much better

Post about any item you need or that you want to get rid of, and hopefully someone who can meet your need will reply back.
