Hi everyone. I could really use your prayers. I have not been feeling well at all lately. Mainly what is bothering me is my sinuses and my lungs. I was diagnosed with bronchitis and sinusitis a week or so ago but it has not gone away completely. I think I have also developed tendinitis in my feet and ankles again. My right foot is especially bothering me lately. It hurts whenever I walk even a small amount.

    Prayers for all:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Remember oh most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto thee oh Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. Oh Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Saint Lydwina of Schiedham, holy patron against prolonged suffering, pray for the relief of all those here and also pray for those who help others who are chronically ill.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hi everyone I am Teresa I am a caregiver for three members of my family. My mother lives with us & she had a stroke in 2003 which has affected her physically but very much mentally and emotionally.I get much reward from caring for her but also very upset & depressed at times as she can be very hurtful in her comments & behaviour.I also support my 2 sisters. One was born with a Learning Disability and severely physically disabled. She has been wheelchair bound for a larg tiem in her life but at present manages with a walking frame/aid for short distances. She is a treasure...she has the most wonderful personality. All throughout my childhood Mary was always so happy go lucky & I am blessed to have her as my sister. My other sister has been suffering Rheumatoid Arthritis,Fybromyalgia,Depression for the past few years. She suffers bouts of pain & depression and I love my sisters very much.My reward is being in thier daily lives and having the blessing of being there for them.May God bless each of you who is suffering such distressing health conditions.Your friend Teresa x

Hey everyone. It's been a while since I posted in here. I honestly don't know if I've ever posted in here. Anyway, I suffer from chronic pain due to some old injuries and Fibromyalgia. I also have Asthma, Borderline Personality Disorder, Major Depression, and Anxiety. I could really use everyone's prayers. I am constantly in pain and to be honest, I am getting really tired of suffering all the time. I know that there are people out there way worse off than me and so I shouldn't be such a cry baby about it but I have a low tolerance to pain in addition to all these things. I am at the verge of tears now.

Oh, oops, apparently this is my own group!

Hi everybody! I'm new to the group. I have 2 autoimmune diseases, sarcoidosis and hashimoto's. I also have candida albicans and trigeminal nueralgia. I have had quite a struggle, but God is good! Right now my nerve pain is under control, and I am seeing a new doctor who has changed my diet. I am eating as much organic food as I can, no white flour or sugar and got rid of as many chemicals in the house as possible. I am so much better! I have enough energy to work ( I almost quit my job last year due to severe fatigue) but I am still working and have enough energy to even do things after work. Thank you Jesus!

    HI Folks

I am a 47yo Canadian Catholic. I am married with 5 kids who are rapidly leaving the nest...except for our little guy who is 6.

I am dealing with Osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalopathy and possibly Sjogren's Syndrome.

I've had my hips replaced which made a huge difference in my pain level, and has made my OA a relatively minor problem.

My biggest problem is insomnia and cognitive stuff. I think I've managed to control the brain-fog with 5htp supplements.

I have also started low-dose naltrexone. So far nothing from that but it can apparently take a long time. I'll be patient.

Before my surgery, and before my OA diagnosis (you're so young! they said. We never would have guessed! sheesh) I felt God very closely. I did not know why I was sick and in such increasing pain. I did not know when or if it would end. Having God there was wonderful.

I am not in nearly as much pain now that I have new hips! My FM (at the moment anyway) does not present with high pain. Maybe it's just because I'm comparing it to the hip pain I had. However the cognitive and insomnia issues can render me non-functional. I am hoping to begin work or go back to school, but then there's that stamina thing.

I was pretty much the volunteer queen, and thrived on my work in our parish. Now, I don't do much except attend Mass.

    And God is in hiding.

I hope to be able to help out around here and to add you folks to my support network!

    Dear LemonAndLime,
I did not mean to imply I am still working. I am unable secondary to health /strength issues. Am confined to wheelchair. I miss nursing very much & I wish you well in your studies/pray for healing of your IBS. God bless!!

sidhe54 - I admire you for continuing work as an RN despite your illness. Many people in my country would just leave work on sickness benefits.

I always try to remember the sick in my prayers, especially those who are at the hospital I work at. One of the decisive moments in my life which lead me to choose to become Catholic was seeing the Priests comfort the sick in a way no one else could, and how much better the patients felt afterwards. Faith is very important in a hospital setting, unfortunately not many others agree.

    Hi everyone,
Thank you Holly for starting this group!!
Praying for all needs of members.
I have heart disease, diabetes, blood clotting problem, major difficulty walking, arthritis, depression and many other minor afflictions. As LemonAndLime wrote "Though I am not as sick as many of the patients who I look after, which puts things into perspective for me". As a disabled RN, I can identify with her statement with great ease. I try to remember during these challenges that my suffering is nothing when you compare it to Jesus' suffering. Some days are easier than others.
I pray for all care-givers( including DH) for peace and patience & respite for them. I also pray that fellow sufferers maintain a close relationship with the Lord & rely on his Mercy, always remaining hopeful for healing.
Adding prayers for the intercession of St. Lydwina of Scheidham, patroness of those afflicted with prolonged suffering (picture added).
    God Bless!!!
    Maggie
