Our Eucharistic Journey

Group created by Amiciel

This group is for those who wish to become better acquainted with the Lord Jesus or who wish to gain / share practical insights on the Holy Eucharist.

Here, we can talk about Jesus and His values, carry on conversations about Him, follow th liturgical life by sharing thoughts from the Sunday and daily Masses. We can evangelize one another by sharing insights on the parts of the Mass, sharing thoughts from our adoration hours, from our readings, prayers, meditations, etc.

I know someone whose "Eucharistic Journey" was triggered unexpectedly by a statement from a priest/theologian/professor who said something to this effect:

Each Eucharist should be a true encounter with the Lord Jesus as our Friend. If our Eucharists are living encounters with Jesus as a Friend, then, what great joy will be ours as we enter eternity, and we realize that our Divine Judge is the same merciful Jesus we have encountered so many times in the Eucharist, as a dear Friend and Redeemer.

Each Eucharistic Celebration is therefore an excellent 'preparation time' for eternity. It is a necessary part of our Catholic life; it is not optional.

Our Journey is for beginners hoping to gain more insights on the Lord and His gift of the Eucharist. It is also for those already advanced in their spiritual journey, who, we hope, will share their precious insights with us. Together then, let us hope to deepen our relationship with the Lord and bring others along with us.

Come Holy Spirit, enlighten and guide our group in our search for Truth. Help us to remain on solid ground as we travel home towards eternity.

Mary, loving Mother of Jesus and our dear Mother, be with us as we go our way. Amen.

St. Faustina was canonized April 30, 2000. Here is the link to the canonization homily. http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/jo...ustina_en.html

Yes, arose57. Sister Faustina was canonized by Pope John Paul II at a Mass in St. Peter's Square on April 30, 2000. This day was the first Sunday after Easter or Divine Mercy Sunday.

My version of St. Faustina's diary is dated 1987 which is prior to her canonization and therefore refers to her as Sister Faustina.

my only question is: was sister faustina canonized a saint?? my version of the book says "blessed Faustina" as opposed to "saint Faustina"...?

Hello, everyone. The next instalment of the thread on Consecration / Holy Mass as Sacrifice will be posted early next week. Sorry to have kept you waiting. December has been a rather busy month.

arose57 - Welcome to our Journey! We're glad to have you with us; and we hope that you will find our conversations spiritually enriching.

Yes. St Faustina's Diary was instrumental in forming our Group. Like Beth, I find it full of spiritual truths, both practical and sublime.

Beth - Yes, am having a wonderful Christmas Season! Thanks. I hope too everyone else is!

I hope everyone is having a Blessed Christmas!

arose57, I agree St. Faustina's diary is great. Six years ago when I became a Catholic, I chose her as my patron saint. She has taught me much at our spiriutality.

I love that this group was formed from an idea from st Faustina's diary. I'm halfway thru it now and i would recommend it to everyone. Merry Christmas!

May the spirit of Christmas stay with us and may we never forget even for once the true meaning of this day. It's the most wonderful way of that God showed His love to us.We should imitate this by being God's witnesses and showing love to others in a very spiritual way.
