Dearest St. Thérèse, help us to follow your little way in all that we do.

"Love proves itself by deeds, so how am I to show my love? Great deeds are forbidden me. The only way I can prove my love is by scattering flowers and these flowers are every little sacrifice, every glance and word, and the doing of the least actions for love."

Dear St. Therese, Please illuminate the mind of your namesake and help her find her way back home to the church.

    The healing of cancer
My aunty was diagnosed with breast cancer. I went to her home with a first class relic of Saint Therese. Her daughter-in-law said that my aunty and uncle were attending Mass at the parish church. My husband and I then drove down to the church. Mass has just ended. I looked down the hill, and I could see my aunty and uncle leaving the church. As soon as I saw them I smelt the heavy scent of roses. There were no roses nearby. Saint Therese was giving a sign that all would be well. My aunty underwent chemotherapy and surgery, which was successful in eradicating the cancer. (It is a well documented fact that Saint Therese sometimes allows people to smell roses in connection with her favours and miracles.) Special Note: First class relics are part of the saint’s body e.g. bone. Second class relics are objects which belonged to the saint during their lifetime e.g. clothing. Third class relics are touched to the saint’s body or tomb after their death e.g. cloth.

From my book: Help from Heaven (Answers to Prayer), which can be read free online at the following link:

Nice pictures of Therese. I like the one where she is seated, such peace seems to radiate from it, and I would bet she's contemplating Jesus.

I have several books written by Therese and one or two about her. I have started Story of a Soul and need to pick up and continue where I somehow got sidetracked...and I have her letters and poems.

You might know that there is an Institute for Carmelite Studies (ICS) that publishes the writings of Therese (also St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross and others). I was fortunate enough to get Therese's letters and poetry through working in a Catholic bookstore - when we got their catalog and I saw that the poetry and letters had been published, I ordered them right away.

May we all be blessed with beautiful spiritual roses through the loving intercession of this Saint.

    Hi everyone!
I've loved St. Therese since I was a kid. My late mother had a 'Little Flower' prayerbook which she got from the Society of the Little Flower when it was in Chicago. I used to dip into it when the rest of the family would stop into a grocery store on the way home from Sunday Mass and I would stay by myself in the car. When my mother died in 2004, the book was placed in her coffin and buried with her.

In 1991, I was able to travel to Lisieux, France and visit the places she knew: her home, 'Les Buissonnets'; the Cathedral of St-Pierre, where she attended Mass; and the Carmel of Lisieux, where she lived her religious life and died. I also visited her birthplace in Alencon on the same trip. I saw the house where she was born on the Rue St-Blaise and the Church of Notre-Dame where she was baptized.

I have quite a number of books on her and a few videos.

At one time in my life I thought of being a Discalced Carmelite nun, and was inspired by the thought that she entered at such a young age (15). In the end, it didn't happen for me, so I spent some years in the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites. I ended up not being allowed to stay, so I had to leave.

But I still love St. Therese! As I continued to read about her, I discovered that she was one tough Norman-very strong willed! She knew what she was going to do with her life, and she didn't let anything or anyone detour her from doing it!

I too love St. Theresa and have since I was a small child. I always knew that I would never accomplish great things so always looked to doing small things that no one would ever notice. Then i grew older and forgot about this, and then grew older still and realize that I knew more as a child than as an adult. I look to St. Theresa today as a role model of who I need to be and how to devote my life to God. I hope that being in this group everyone can help to increase my faith and awareness of what I need to do to make God proud.
