St.Francis of Assisi patron St. Pray for Our Animals

Pope Francis! We are assuming he was thinking of Francis of Assisi when choosing his name. Anyway, it's a happy thought. Even if it's another Francis, that's okay.

The cat couldn't understand though why I wouldn't get up to let her out today while the breaking news coverage of the Papal election was still going on, though! Didn't want to miss "the big moment"!

Dear St. Francis, please intercede for my friends' bunny who is sick. She is loved by her family and they would be sad if she doesn't make it. Please pray that she be healed and live a long life if it is God's will. Thank you St. Francis. Amen.

October 4th is St. Francis's Feast Day! May he ask God to bless all our dear animals!

Thanks to St. Francis - my 9-year-old bunny is now the longest-lived bunny I've ever had and he's still healthy! And the girl bunny is too, and my frog.

St. Francis, please intercede for my two bunnies, one is 9 years old, that he can stay healthy and live as long as possible; the other is 4, that she will also stay healthy and live a long life. I thank God for blessing me with these wonderful little companions!

Hello all. I am new to this site and I am overjoyed that I can go somewhere to praise the Holy Family, all of the Angels and Saints and not be judged. I can't even begin to tell you how many Saint Francis statues that i have in my yard. I am a great lover of animals and also Saint Francis. I always pray that he keeps our animals safe from people that want to harm them and the ones who aren't loved the way they should be. Thank you for allowing me to join this wonderful group to praise the one who keeps our furry children safe. Thank you Saint Francis!! Peace!!

I have been to Assisi. A wonderful peaceful place. The holy man of Assisi was a great friend of the wild animals. We humans have a duty of stewardship in respecting and caring for a large part of God's creation. We humans have an obligation not to abuse and to take care of all creation. Many people do not have children and animals become their children. Animals are used to provide therapy to the ill, to guide the deaf and the blind. These innocent members of creation offer mankind so much. Please be careful not to harm them. They do have souls and a place of reward. They do reflect God's beauty just as the flowers do.

Prayer of thanks to St. Francis for intercession a few weeks back when my bunny was almost poisoned by a gas leak and I was able to revive her and she is okay. THANK YOU, ST. FRANCIS!
