Catholic Women Speaking Out Against Radical Feminist Ideology

Visit the forum of this group.
Group created by 3DOCTORS

Group for Catholic women faithful to the Magisterium who wish to proclaim that the radical feminists, with their defiance of Church teaching on issues such as women's ordination, abortion, homosexual activity, Gnosticism, goddess worship, witchcraft, and similar heretical ideas do not speak for us.

Especially groups like "Catholics for a Free Choice," "Women-Church Convergence," "WATER" and similar groups which present themselves as "Catholic" organizations which is misleading to the faithful and to the general public.

Please share resources you have found helpful in apologetics and/or evangelization in the areas mentioned.

Finally, let us pray for the conversion of those who are involved in these misguided organizations and ways, and be always willing to "speak the truth in love" to them and on this forum when the opportunity presents itself.

Thanks PattyisDucky for your take on femininity, for me its alittle more complex. I have to work...stayed home as long as I could. Now I am in a field with 90% males and am often doing male like jobs. So I try to bring my nature into all things and what I found is that being motherly or sisterly to the guys is helpful on so many levels. First it sets clear boundaries, second it is a way to reach out in love and most of them respond. I do have one coworker who seems to take great pleasure in bully me..but I have prayed for him everyday and there is a change taking place.

(I'm new as well, but I'm gonna just jump in here )

Growing up, I was confused about religion, but my bestest friend was an atheist and a feminist and so I fancied myself a feminist as well. Maybe not the best judgement lol. Anyways, being a convert to catholicism, I didn't understand natural family planning, so I started researching it. I came across the book Women, Sex, & the Church which is a statistical argument for the theology of the body and... wow, feminism has a new meaning for me now.

I agree that feminism has a new definition, the one that you described; one that those against this new definition can't easily re-define. So what do we call ourselves? Pro-choice? Pro-woman? Womanists?

    Nice meeting you Joan!

{Edit} Guess I should look at the date of the post I'm replying to... Oh wells!

It's a cheap little book and a quick read, but well worth it. Here's a link to it:

I do hope some of you check it out!

    God bless.
I am reading that book right now. It is so good. I love it. Highly recommend it.

Even advertisements that are considered acceptable by the FCC and most of our populous in the USA, are quite harmful to women, to men, to children, and to our society. I long to inspire those who have the knowlege and ability to stop this imposition on all of us. Can't we begin to integrate laws and regulations through either politicians or the FCC, to prohibit the use of women's bodies as a selling tool? It is a crime to play on men's weaknesses, and to invade the space of our homes with seductive women or provacative looks and expressions from women. Women make good money from jobs related to this (and so do men), but it is destroying the marriage, and has robbed the honor and respect that the female is due. Men more and more are unable to be satisfied with their wife after the first few years. The prince of the power of the air--satan-has succeeded in this subtle, yet powerful destruction. It's every where, it's unavoidable. It has set the standard for all of us to look to as something good, normal, or healthy. And it is NONE of these; not good, not normal, not healthy. Lord help us!

I stole the title, sorry about that - but it says it all. This is a thread to expose the tactics of organizations like "Catholics for a Free Choice" that claim you can be Catholic and "pro-choice."

It is also a place to follow the money trail or other connections to these groups that have infiltrated other Catholic coalitions, conferences, events, etc., and point them out so that people are not deceived.

And finally, it's a place to affirm that both the unborn baby and its mother are loved and cared for - that women deserve creative and charitable help for crisis pregancies, not the quick fix abortion is sold as.

Don't care what "Roman Catholic Womenpriests" has to say about the matter, ordination of women in the RCC has not happened and will not happen. Their ordinations are not valid; they are excommunicated. Let us pray they will come to their senses.

I've been thinking about this from the beginning of starting this group, whether to focus it around Catholic women only, or allow men interested in the topic to chime in if they would like.

My reasons for deciding originally in favor of keeping it a women's group were:

    1. I wanted it to be a place where Catholic women could affirm their solidarity against the radical feminists, especially those who claim to be Catholic while spreading heresy, who arrogantly claim to be speaking/working on the behalf of all women/all Catholic women.

    2. In the case, which sometimes unfortunately happens, that a man who posts would have "issues" due to being hurt by women and have trouble controlling anger, I feared there could be hurtful commentary made, so I wanted to avoid that danger.

Now that the group has enough members to have a forum, though, I'd like to provide this "men's auxiliary" thread, for these reasons:

    1. I would like for priests and brothers to be able to contribute wisdom to examining the radical feminist issue and its impact.

    2. If inappropriate material is posted, it can be dealt with through reporting.

Please, men, don't read more into my hesitations than that. But I have known women who became radical feminists in part from having been mistreated by (sinful) men. So I wanted these ladies to feel safe. And yet I think this is an issue that affects all of us. So consider yourselves invited to participate, guys, and of course everybody be nice. God Bless!

I saw quite a few examples of this type of thing when I worked for a Catholic bookstore that was part of a larger corporation. I tried to point it out to the book buyers but I think a lot of times they just order what the publisher reps say are good books.

Also, large publishing houses - mainstream ones - will publish a book on Catholic or Christian related subject matter if they think it will sell well. "Politically correct" ones in fact often do sell well. Some of these are penned by Catholic authors who happen to be dissident, and yet the books look innocent enough at first glance especially if sold at Catholic bookstores.

I may be rambling a bit myself...this has been a pet peeve of mine since I worked at that store...

It does hit the mainstream of our Church. I went to a Catholic Bookstore (I always go there) and they had books for sale and I found one about Women Saints. I thought what a good read for this weekend, but once I started reading it, I could not believe what this woman was saying, she was pretty much saying that before hand we as women were like deacons and sometimes had to perform the rites because there was no priest and she used some of our lovely saints as examples and just really botch up everything the Catholic Church stands for. I am so rambling, but I do not have the book near me to quote some of her lines.

    Woo-hoo! Some members! WELCOME!!!

I decided to start this group after following the Joan Chittister thread on the forum and checking out one of the links someone posted about a conference "Women at the Well." I thought we need a group so that we can go more deeply into what's out there, why it's problematic, how deeply it has influenced the mainstream Church in the US and other places in the world, and what we can do to counteract its influences.

So, let's start some discussion! Take it away, ladies!
