Also pray for the Holy Spirit to bring clarity and truth to put rumors to rest so that whatever does need to be repented in the Church and made amends for, can be done without all the "unnecessary baggage" of gossip and false accusations and rumors.

Bumping this . . . let's pray for healing and protection for the Church as Pope Benedict XVI steps down and the conclave begins for electing a new Pope.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
For the sake of His Sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a Fountain of Mercy for us, I Trust In You!

Praying not only that the sins committed in the past will never be committed again, but that the devil will be thwarted in his efforts to make the scandals influence people to leave the Church or hesitate to join the Church, or in any other way falter in their faith in Her.

St Mary McKillop, you suffered much for your determination to protect the innocence of children in your care, even to excommunication from the Church, your home. We remember you as a shining light of love among the sorrowful and sinners, keeping faith while others despaired. Pray for us to be as determined as you were in defence of right.

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy.

It may take some time - and yes, prayers are private, but a lot of people do post prayers and pray while they type.

Mainly I just felt moved to create a place of refuge, free from the endless overwhelm of controversy and blame that reading too many news headlines can create. A spiritual place of healing and trust in God.

Jesus defeated Satan on the Cross, and that includes all sin, past, present, and future. That is our hope and consolation, and our invitation to join our sacrifices and prayers to His.
