I don't have much time, but to reassure you and let you know, that what occurs in the lives of most 'mature' charismatics, is they become very contempletive. Great devotion comes to Eucharistic Adoration, they are often daily Communicates if possible, very strong in the Word, and very, very obedient to the teaching majesterium of the Church, and the Pope.

They are able to go freely back and forth in both forms of expression before the Lord Jesus.

However, it is necessary to say as a reminder to us all, that anyone who was Baptised, Chrismated/Confirmed, walks in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, it is just they are not stirred into flame.

Just couldn't refuse joining this group. I was raised Catholic and came to know the Lord in my teens. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit in '92, and then began going to Charismatic churches because there are no Charismatic Catholic churches here in these parts! The baptism in the Holy Spirit happened to me at a Confirmation/Holy Saturday service in a rural Catholic church. Nobody knew but me and God.
Since then, I've "vacillated" between Protestant Charismatic and Catholic. I'm sort of a denominational mutt, an addict for the presence of Jesus! I still consider myself Catholic as well as Charismatic/Pentecostal because I believe in both experiences and both help me get in touch with the Lord. Currently, I'm being ministered by the Lord the most by Eucharistic Adoration. There are a few of these opportunities in my area, one that has perpetual adoration. I am a member in a Charismatic church and have always wanted to go to a Charismatic Catholic church/group, but never found any here.

So, I know I'm most unusual! I find that being a non-Charismatic Catholic or a non-Catholic Charismatic, one or the other alone, just isn't enough for me in the long haul. I always end up with the Eucharist, yet am heavily into the Scriptures and the Charismatic experience.

I'm not exactly sure why I floated in here other than to see if there are possibly others at least somewhat like me!

O HOLY SPIRIT, Creator, mercifully assist Thy Catholic Church, and by Thy heavenly power strengthen and establish her against the assaults of all her enemies. By Thy love and grace renew the spirit of Thy servants whom Thou hast anointed, that in Thee they may glorify the Father and His only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
