Group created by flower lady

A group for seniors or shut ins who simply want to talk to someone about anything that you want. Our grandkids, our troubles and concerns, our loneliness. However, we welcome all. With age comes wisdom. With God we can accomplish anything together.

Good morning all. Yes horgan Holy communion is one of the sacred sacraments of the church. It is one of the sacraments that makes me so happy to be a Catholic. To be able to receive the Lamb of God is truly a great gift indeed.
I may have posted this on another group but I will post it again. My personal feelings and joy regarding Holy Communion.

    Holy Communion

    I come forth
    Great Prince, to
    Humbly receive you.
    Hold me near to
    Your sacred heart;
    Cleanse me with
    Your blood of all my
    inequities and make
    My spirit as Thou,
    White as fresh snow that
I may be if only for
    A moment in union:
    With: Thee.

Gods Holy Wll, I will definitely pray for your intentions. God is always with you. He loves us so much. He is the greatest healer of all times. Brenda

Hecares, When I think about it, what you are saying in regards to selling houses makes a lot of sense.

S.K. I thank the Lord too, what would we do without you in the group. You constantly remind us of how important it is to intercede with the great Saints and how much they can help us. We all thank you for that. That goes to show you, there is a purpose for us all in God's Will. Some days when nobody comes around, you dear people are the only ones I have to talk to and pray with. I don't think that a lot of us realize that the things we think sometimes that we do are not worth very much can mean a great deal to the next person. God led you to the Catholic Church for a reason. One reason I'm sure was to comfort and pray for us when things get tough in our lives. You are a gift from God my friend.

I will chat with you guys later, have a blessed day! Brenda

Awesome story, Flower Lady, I was baptised 3 days after I was born, which I was told was unusual. The lady who found the record tol,d me also that it took place in the hospital, so she assumed I had been in some kind of danger. Thankfully, prayers were answered in the positive, and so I survive to this day. Thank the Lord! sk

Good morning all! Glad to see everyone here. Angelcoco, whenever you are showing a house, they tell you to put away all personal things so that potential buyers can picture their own things there. Neutral surroundings seem to sell best It has nothing to do really with the fact that they are religious; they say family pictures should be put away, too, and anything that shows an unusual interest.

Re The Feast of the body & Blood of Christ Sunday26.06. "Behold the Lamb of God,Behold Him who takes away the sins of the world" Blessedd are those called to the Supper of the Lamb"The new translation of our invitation to Communion in the Body * Blood of Christ, focuses on our rich theology of Christ as the Lamb of God.Early in the ministry of Jesus.John the Baptist had recognised him as the Lamb of God beuase he had seen the Holy Spirit come & rest upon Jesus. In the baptismal event, the life of Jesus as the Lamb of God was announced to the waitin worldWe,as God's beloved people are now called to receive the Lamb of God in Holy Communion and to share in His blessedness. This coming Sunday May we all offer to the Father in Heaven a solemn pledge of undivided love. Adrian:yyeess :

Hi friends! I got my Tuberculosis test today. Unlike last time, I have a red circle around it(redness doesn't matter) but it is slightly raised. I am really worried since if it comes out positive then I have to get an X-Ray since I think that a positive test doesn't definitely mean that you have the disease. If I do have it, it takes 6 weeks to cure! That's what I think I read. I totally want God's will regarding this, but it's hard to think about. I don't know how I'd handle it, but God's grace would be there to enable me to make it through. It seems to me like lately it's been one thing after another. From the human side, i would like all this stuff to end so I could live in peace without worries, but from the spiritual side I know we're here to know, love and serve God and spend Eternity with Him, not live a problem free life! Maybe God wants me to think more about the happiness I will find in Heaven, rather than focus on the problems i have hear below, and wanting them to end. Please pray for me my Sisters & Brothers in Christ! Thank you and God bless you!

AngelCoco - I wish I could give you an opinion on your situation, but i suffer from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and it's preventing me from seeing clearly what to do in this case.

Kim - Welcome to the group!!! My name is Kim too!

@ Angel Coco... hello, I'm new to this forum and love what I'm seeing already. I was looking for a place to converse with other christians... anyone who loves God.

I wanted to respond to your question concerning your religious items being displayed while your trying to sell your home. I agree with you that it is a shame in this world we are forced at times to hide our love for our faith but the bottom line is alot of people don't understand such things as statues and material items we often use to keep our hearts in heaven. For those of us who have angels, and other religious items or statues, we have them because they bring a sense of peace into our day and we feel closer to God. But for others it's a form of idoliatry and something even christians don't understand. My advice to you is to focus on selling your home... God will understand either way. Put the items away for your own personal viewing or leave them out and take a step in faith. If you are a Catholic you always could use the old "St. Joseph" home selling kit to help you in your endover to sell your home. I've heard it really works. LOL! Just don't put too much thought into your realitors opinion; do what you feel comfortable doing and know it's truly all in God's hands... the right buyers will come along when the apointed time has arrived. God is in control! God Bless you & Good Luck!

I hope everyone is having a Gentle Tuesday...
I would like to share something with everyone who would want to give your opinion: For many years I had an at home Altar which I kept on a shelf of in my closet; then about 3 years ago I was dusting all my little things and was setting them on my bed so nothing would break, I got this overwhelming feeling of wanting to put my little icons and things that I collected tru the years and so, I decided to put it over one of those fireplace that have fake logs, but I love it because my sister-in-law gave it to me and it is so sweet and has angels carving, not a biggie, but I love it
and I put all my religious things on it.

And so since our Foster Angels are of the age to find jobs we have put our house for sale, well, after a few showing out Selling Agent ask said that I should put all my Religious thingsaway our framed picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart this was on her way out; she was late for her next appointment and said goodbye and left me with my mouth open, I was taken back and utter a word... Can you believe that? and what do you think about it? I would love to hear some opinions...Thanks, and God Bless, AngelCoco
