For seniors and shut- ins

I got back home at like midnight last night. It feels great to sleep my own bed after being gone a week, especially when I'm sick.
Just wrote a poem and feel like sharing. Its kinda depressing.

As the tears roll,
Down the face of pain,
She thinks back.
Remembers a time,
A time before all the hurt.
Before the lies,
Before the loss,
Before the complications.
Time seemed never-ending,
Always there but never changing.
When faces were pure, true.
What she wouldn't give,
To go back there.
Back to the time of
Happiness, Love, Simplicity.
Just to go back....

Blessed Pope John Paul II stated that "the movement was integral to the renewal of the entire Catholic Church". Today I share with you all some photos of my li'l sidekick, "babygirl." Wherever I go, she goes, with the exception of restaurants and grocery stores (of course). She's the best dog I ever had; she was a gift from a lady at church; she is the perfect companion dog. sk

Thank you GHW for mentioning the novena. I usually do one for Pentecost and this year it slipped my mind. Pentecost is a very special day for me, as some of you know, I met Jesus for the first time in a Pestecostal church. And I am so happy the Catholic church embraces the Charismatic Renewal.

In case I don't get back in here for a few days, I will be gone Friday-Monday on a trip to Sioux City. I will be spending a lot of time at Trinity Heights, a park that was made by a Catholic and has many blessed things. Well friends, I know it's a little late, but i'm starting a Novena to the Holy Spirit today in preparation for Pentecost! The priest celebrating Holy Mass today mentioned it and I think it's a great idea!

Hi all, S.K. glad you are doing better, and thank all of you so much for your prayers and masses. Pat nice to see you. Hecares, I was at the park yesterday for a cookout for my nephew"s party he also graduated. These kids are growing up to fast for me. Gods Holy Will, I am doing fine, I get the stitches out day after tomorrow. Beth, I wish I had some of that energy that you have and could ride bikes. Katheleen, I needed that mass. Please pray that my children start going to mass so that I can go. They believe in God, but they won't go to church and I have no way to get there on my own. It's difficult listening to you guys talk about how you enjoy the mass, and I can't get there. They will take me anywhere I need to go, but most of the time I ask them to take me to church they come up with excuses. I'm really depending on you my friends fo pray with me about it. Thanks much.

Good morning all! A new work week begins. Although I am retired, it means I can deal with doctors, lawyers, and bureaucrats again trying to get my parents things in order so they will be taken care of.

Busy day yesterday: reception for priest who's leaving and graduation party for nephew after singing 9am Mass and going to breakfast with hubby.
