For seniors and shut- ins

Group created by flower lady

A group for seniors or shut ins who simply want to talk to someone about anything that you want. Our grandkids, our troubles and concerns, our loneliness. However, we welcome all. With age comes wisdom. With God we can accomplish anything together.

    Greetings to you all my fellow seniors. I am more like an American Indian because I live in the Pacific Ocean on the island of Guam. I am glad that you Americans, I am also an American by Organic Act of 1950, are inspired by the great words of our Lord Jesus Christ. Christianity came to my island year 1665 by way of Father Diego de San Vitores, a Jesuit Missionary, from Spain. He was accompanied by Pedro Calungsod a filipino lay missionary from the island of Cebu in the Philippine Islands. Father San Vitores and Pedro Calungsod were martyred by a Chamorro, named Matapang. Don't worry he is not my relative. Blessed Pedro Calungsod will be canonized this October 20, 2012 by Pope Benedict XVI in Rome, Italy. I was victimized by a pedophile priest when I was an altar boy but I love Jesus and I always felt the priest was sick but I couldn't get away from him since I was told by my parents to serve. Father AC died in 1985 to protect the guilty I have not mentioned his full name. I hope he is in heaven since he had a disabling sexual disease unfortunately. Well, I hope this ignites some discussion.Everyone is civilized on Guam because we are like the Hawaiians, we love to party and eat a lot of food. From the American Chamorro of Guam.

    I didn't stop posting. LOL Beautiful testimony Kelly! I admire your honesty. You already know my story. Smoking the trees and drinking. I was away from the church for at least 30 years until the last three or four. It feels so good to be back home. God had mercy on us. He let us survive to come back to him. We are his family and He loves us.

    Have a blessed day all.

    Keep posting Kelly, you are an inspiration to us all.
    Beautiful poem. Keep that pen close by you.

    The Voice

    Though my eyes have never seen you;
    your precious touch I always knew
    Lord ,I would not follow you;
    but you would always guide me through

    Often my belief in you would lack;
    Lord still, you never turned your back
    All those times I selfishly doubted you;
    towards me you were always true

    Vainly I would speak your precious name;
    lovingly you forgave and without refrain
    Those times my faith in you did not exist;
    with loving me you did insist

    All those years selfishly that I never prayed;
    even so,today you listen and you forgave
    Through all my betrayal you didn't part;
    still your soft voice lies within my heart..... Kelly O'Mara

    Good morning all.

    Fatima Morning Offering

    O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we offer you our prayers, works, joys and sufferings all the day may bring, be they good or bad; for the love of God, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for all the sins committed against the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

    "Every thought is a seed. If you plant crab apples, don't count on harvesting Golden delicious." Bill Meyer

    Have a Wonderful day! God bless you!
