For seniors and shut- ins

Hi all, and a good morning to you. seasidesun, I don't thing it will happen here, but it could. Very unlikely I would think.

O holy St. Anthony, reach down from heaven and take hold of my hand. Assure me that I am not alone. You are known to possess miraculous powers and to be ever ready to speak for those in trouble. Loving and gentle St. Anthony reach down from heaven I implore you and assist me in my hour of need. Obtain for me (mention your request here). Dearest St. Anthony, reach down from heaven and guide me with thy strength. Plead for me in my needs, and teach me to be humbly thankful as you were for all the bountiful blessings I am to receive. Amen.

I'm sure you already know that this can be said every hour for nine hours or every day for nine days, as a novena.

Johnmanuel, I too love St. Anthony and posted this beautiful prayer that was sent to me in the mail from those wonderful people at EWTN. (A catholic show on cable) that you have probably heard of.

Take your time seasidesun and you will find what you need. You list little about yourself, so who knows? You will need to reach out to those who think as you do so you no become upset, or you not upset someone. Fear is the devils tool.

I find I am lonesome at times and would love to talk to other catholics about faith issues and just chat but worry about talking to not good living people and ending up being upset about corresponding with a weirdo and feel that will not happen on this site or I trust and pray it wil not happen.

Thank you for that lovely poem, Krazykat. I have just had a visit (the first in almost ten years) from a friend from high school. We have known each other for over seventy years, shared tears, laughs, troubles, victories, and just been there for each other although we are miles apart now. Her visit made me think of all the people I have known and loved over these past 80 plus years, and how blessed I am to have had such good friends on my journey. God bless all of them, and you.

flowerlady-hi-i never heard of a lady of fair love-in my past i've prayed to St.Anthony of Padua to intercede for me with whatever intentions i was traveling to form a relationship with what ever woman i had just met.

Your not alone krazykat-last week i also thought it was friday when it was thursday.
My thought is once we're over 65 (am67) Our Lord sends special Graces when a fragile human side falters. I read ur comments on talk talk talk.
