I am engage in a battle of sorts with a Catholic turn Jew about God and Jesus. I was explaining to someone that God can not abide sin. That God can not look upon sin, unless the sinner is truly asking forgiveness. I went on to explain that God did not want his only Begotten Son Jesus, to be place in a human who had a sin, therefore Mary was free from all sin, a special gift from God to her. Now this person says that since Jesus "ate with sinners", that he was not affronted by sin, and since he could eat with sinners, there was no reason to believe that Mary was free from sin. Further, he argued that no where in Scripture does it state that God cannot look upon sin, that God is not affronted by sin. Can you help me out Peggy. Blessings and Peace...LayDominican
Hallo Peggy!
I've seen along the page that you have not made any frinds yet, so i want to be the first one though you have lot of friends.

I am in need of some information. A poster named Phantasm, who posts on the Atheist Thread was recently banned from the site. I have been having a running "discussion" with him and it was challenging, but I found him, accusatory, and a trifle offensive, but challenging. I might have had something to do with his banning and I wonder if I was one of the causes. This has been bothering me. May I know the reason why he was banned? I would also like to have my name and e-mail removed from this web site as of today, as I will no longer be posting on any Threads here. Will you see to it that my request is granted. I have not the time to spend here; also someone contacted a person whose name and address I gave out (public person-allowed) and said something that was not true, (denigration, lie) .I have no exaxct proof of this but by process of elimination, it had to be someone from the Atheist Thread... Thank you and God bless You. mhpierce
Ive recently been told at the thread called: "What teachings would the Catholic Church have to drop for you to be a catholic" - that the C.C. once taught that unbaptized babies and children, prior to the age of accountability, did not go straightway to heaven, upon their demise; I am a fervent catholic, and I have searched the credo vis-a-vis this accusation, and I can't find anything, other than Augustine's views. Bob cites the Baltimore catechism and the council of Florence, and they say nothing about unbaptized babies, but they do convey, if a soul via original sin or mortal sin dies prior to baptism, they go to a place called limbo; of course I only gave them a cursory reading, due to work. Is there any truth to his accusations? Jesus said, unless you become like little children....I just can't believe that the C.C would have ever taught that unbaptized babies or small children, upon their demise, would end up anywhere other than Heaven.
I would like to ask something because I try to find answers for this question. In the bible it is said that the Pentateuch was written by Moses. But why the death of Moses was in Deuteronomy and also in the books of Joshua And Samuel? Their death was written in their books.
I have a friend that is positive she has several ghosts in her home. They appear to her 4 yr old son. He tells her they have bright lights and wings. Sometimes they don't have the wings. He is frightened and wakes a lot at night only to see the ghosts. His mother has not seen the ghosts herself but has experienced strange sounds, bumps, voices, and a toy phone ringing. Her mother saw a ghost as well while visiting. She said it was in the form of an army general. She is not catholic but wants to see if a priest will be able to make the ghosts go away. Is this possible? I told her i will contact my priest but I don't know if he will believe me. Many people in general are skeptical about
ghosts. These ghosts don't seem to be malicious as of yet, but do they realize they scare her and her family? What are ways she can deal with these spirits/ghosts? Can this be real????
