Hi Shin. In the Prayer Book thread you mentioned that TAN Books has a good prayer book. Can you tell me the name or the link to it? Thanks in advance.

Hey Shin- I know who to go to for info!
There is a poster on here who is longing for death- not in a suicidal way, but in a 'wanting-to-leave-this-valley-of-tears-and-be-with-God way. I know that St. Francis de Sales wrote on that very inclination, because I used to have those feelings myself. His writing humbled me. I cannot find that passage anywhere! Do you know which one I am talking about? St. Francis de Sales had written to the young man wishing for death so he could be with God that this was a temptation; that saints had these longings for death, but who could compare themselves to saints? It would be better to dismiss such longings and live a joyful life as that is God's will for the person.
Have you come across this passage of de Sales before? It's driving me crazy not to find it!!!

    Hey Shin,
    Thanks for the friendship request.
It's an honor to know you.
At the Saint Discussion Site, I introduced myself on coffee talk. Wasn't quite sure where to post an intro. So it's right under your last post.

    Hi Shin,
I went to the saints forum, but I can't figure out how to join or post. The only thing there, was a Login and password box, and that didn't work either. Could it be because i'm on my cell phone, ( mobil internet )?

I like the site though. Thanks for asking me to check it out !
