Hi Paul, (Re: my name Mary.) I love my name. I started truly appreciating it once I came back home to the Catholic Church. I never really loved it until then. To share the name with our Holy Mother is great. Now tell me;how are you? Anything exciting or new going on with you? Let me know!! Here have a cup of coffee! - Mary +J.M.J.+
Take care! Mary
Good evening, brother. This time I'm making a small request for myself. Just as I am praying for myself, would you pray that I will make a renewed commitment to following the professional and ethical standards to which I am held as a certified EMT? I have been noticing myself slipping at times, and I think I could use a little spiritual reinforcement to regain a better adherence to those standards.
Thanks, and God bless you! Make sure you stay cool and hydrated whenever you have to work outside in the heat.
Hopefully you can take a moment or two to pray this weekend for the repose of Lieutenant Vincent Perez, who was killed in a residential fire on Thursday, and also the same for firefighter/paramedic Anthony Valerio who died from burns he sustained while trapped in the same structure. Both were firefighters with the San Francisco Fire Department.
Yes, I did survive, thank God. And thanks be to God above that we had two people survive after passing out from heat exhaustion, although one ended up having a rib broken when a woman from a neighboring town mistakenly initiated CPR on him. All in all, it was a good day.
I'll keep you in my prayers. Be safe out there, bro, and please continue to pray for me. I can find it difficult at times to be a true Catholic Christian among a membership that mostly is nominally Catholic or other Christian denomination, and sometimes I bend my values to "fit in" better, but I feel better knowing that I am always given new graces to further conform to Christ after receiving absolution in the Sacrament of Penance.
Praise God, we made it through the weekend, and now it's on to Memorial Day! Hope you've been well and staying safe on the job, brother. Please pray that tomorrow evening, I will be mentally well-prepared, and well-hydrated, for our Exempt Association's service at the memorial bell beginning at 1900 hrs (since the day's forecast is that it's going to be a scorcher).
