Hey there, benedictgal I'm a Benedict fan, too! I've been reading his books lately, can't get enough. What a wonderful mind! What a marvelous man the Holy Spirit has given us for our Papa. I went to a workshop yesterday, Introduction to the Extraordinary Form. And lemme tell ya, I feel like I'd never been to Mass before. Wow! =O That was extraordinary! I love liturgy too, I'm reading Pope Benedict's Spirit of the Liturgy. Sigh. I long for more of these beautiful liturgies.

Just thought I'd drop in and say Hi. I've found your posts to be good reading and informative. Thank you. Peace be with you.

What does 'duly instituted acolyte' mean? They are allowed to purify after Communion, but I'm not sure who or what they are. Also, are 'extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion allowed to place the sacred vessels on the altar after Communion, or must they hand them to the priest/deacon?

I made it from a video clip on http://www.gifninja.com/ConvertVideoToGif.aspx

You can save it if you want. I have more Catholic animated gifs on page 2 of my visitor messages page.
