I really admire your well articulated responses re the ADA - I watched the funeral and cried when his son spoke about going up that hill together.... we are a Church of sinners, and we rely on the mercy of God. I'm praying for Ted Kennedy that the good that he has done in his life will be a measure in that mercy. Peace my friend!
It was through the efforts of Ted Kennedy that the Americans With Disabilities Act was passed. Thanks to that act, I was able to get accommodated for my learning disability in grade school, middle school, and high school. I'm now a college history major, but if I hadn't received those accommodations, I probably would have ended up hating school, and not be anywhere near where I am today. How many other people like me are there out there?
That's why you won't here me say a bad word about Ted Kennedy right now.
