Hello! I am a self-proclaimed "cafeteria catholic" since I do not agree with some of the Church's recent moral teachings. I do not, however, attempt to get any other Catholics to accept this view, I just simply want to get the news out there that there ARE "good" cafeteria Catholics.
If it takes me a few days to respond to your post, please be patient! I spend time with my lovely baby daughter and equally lovely wife. I come on the forums in my free time, so sometimes it is a day or two before I can reply. I'm sorry!
I like Padre Pio. He tried to be a good person, but somehow always managed to get in trouble with authority. I can relate to that! I also like Thomas Merton, Scott Hahn, St. Augustine, and Brant Pitre (New Orleans theologian).
Michael is my confirmation saint and my patron saint. I also have regular devotions to St. Anthony.
