I forgot to ask, did you go vegan all at once, from eating meat, or was there a non-vegan vegetarian phase in there?
I've been slowly learning more about the effects of huge factory-farms of all types on the earth and the people and animals who are associated with them - it really is terrible. I spent a year (years ago) working in a small, conventional dairy and was horrified by the way "my" cows were treated.

I love the connections you make!
I'm not a vegan - except during the Fasts - or even really a vegetarian, though we rarely eat meat, but the only reason I do eat any animal products at all is because I can find local, (truly) free-range, small-farm raised products. It's more expensive, but the idea of associating with factory-farming in any way is honestly too repulsive for words. I feel like this is an acceptable way of dealing with the issues around animal consumption. There is a sort of spiritual loveliness (I'm not sure exactly how to describe it) about veganism though, I love Lent and Advent, and the sharper focus I have when I'm eating only green, live things.
Thanks so much for your reply! It's really refreshing to meet up with some people who obviously care about their faith - above and beyond the token "Catholic concerns" we too often limit ourselves to! I really appreciated your reviving the Walmart thread as well - in time to encourage everyone to re-think Christmas shopping. Thanks, and many blessings!
Remember the days of youth now shaded
Encounters walking with God now faded
Viewing by the twilight of many years
This life not closed, though bathed in sorrow's tears.
Hi, thank you for your post, tis is a nice experience for me.
This Annunciation night
God's plan for mans delight
Union between heaven and earth
Her yes to God brought forth His birth.
Have a nice day
Pray for peace
