Thanks for the friendship request! I'm delighted to be your friend! I will pray for your family, especially for those family members who have fallen away from the faith, and for Ian and his family. May our Lord draw each of them closer to His Sacred Heart and mercifully help them in their need. Peace!
Great story!
There was a man who always prayed for less problems and a much lighter cross to carry. One night St. Peter came to him and invited him to Heaven for a one-time-cross-trade. The man looked around the Cross Room and saw some crosses as large as telephone poles, some made of heavy concrete, some with jagged glass protruding from them, and some with rugged barbedwire wrapped around them. In the corner, near the door, he noticed a very small cross.....In fact, it was the smallest one in the Cross Room. The man eagerly pointed to it and announced that he would like to take it before someone else gets it. St. Peter replied....."But, my son, it is the same one you came in with!"
I am a middle school teacher from Mukwonago, Wisconsin (USA), single, age 59 (Yikes!) and I would like to be able to communicate with others who love the Catholic Church as much as I do. I am also a member of the Secular Franciscan Order in our diocese. :-)
