Hi All,
I have not read the book which this question re furs to. Can you please tell me is the book states what year this tradition started.
You see I was asked by a person if I knew when Catholics started eating fish on Fridays.
I did not know that exact date, but what came next was a shocker.
He told me that the only reason that Catholics eat me on Friday is because one of the Popes had a mistress, and her family was involved in the fishing trade, so to benefit her he allowed fish to be eaten instead of meat.
Now I can not find this story any where, but I was wondering if any of you out there did and have an answerer to it. Also does this book say anything about this myth.
Couldn't agree more with your opinions as in the Pelosi post.
Thank you for your service.
Not usually up this time of night but puppy had teeth surgery and he is fussing & no-one is getting any sleep.
In Christ,
Agatina
