I found my LR Church in January and it is not too much to say that being there has changed my life...
I loved jonpd's post; it's a mirror-image of my experience. Our Church is crammed; the lines to the Confessional are around the block and our holy priests are, from what I judge, utterly devoted to us their 'flock'. Speaking of Confession: I know our Protestant brothers and sisters often criticize our manner of repentance, 'How can anyone confess to a mere man?'. I'm sorry for them, truly! They little know these extraordinary men whose only care is that we live in the peace of the Faith and meet again in Heaven. ..
Despite the fact that these men are highly educated and live rigorous lives as FSSP priests, when one is leaving the Confessional they never fail to say-quietly-'Pray for me'. When I was a new penitent, this floored me. I now go to Confession every 2 weeks-for the Grace of the Sacrament, and for the counsel and knowledge of these 'other Christs'.
Mary keep us all-
