Christian WAB, you likely have a sleep disorder called sleep apnea, which causes you to actually stop breathing numerous times during the night. It can damage your heart, deprive you of sleep and even be fatal. You should talk to your doctor about doing a sleep study to see if you have that problem. If you find that you are tired during the day, despite "sleeping" for sufficient number of hours, you likely have sleep apnea. It's very treatable with a cpap machine. You'll feel better, and you will be able to sleep with your wife again....
