Thank you for your post in Re: Should we all be doing apologetics?. I think that was very helpful to people trying to get their head around what Apologetics is.

Your "Location" (Land of 10,000 Lakes) caught me.
I have degree in Geography and I am a proud Canadian convinced that them thar Yankees don't know anything about the rest of the world, especially Canada.

Well, ahem, I had to do a search for "Land of 10,000 Lakes". Ah ... Minnesota. So I did an image search. BEAUTIFUL!!!

The land also looks familiar. Is that the Canadian Shield your state is sitting on? I see the same scenes when travelling through much of Ontario.

    God bless, Reg.

We have a common story. We have both yearned for something deeper than a Holy Ghost jolt! That means something! Have a great day!

You write, "For the benefit of the OP and any others struggling with these dogmas, it's good for them to know that the vast majority of Christians believe in these Marian teachings"

I don't think the vast majority of Christians do believe these teachings. I am no statistician but I know that virtually EVERY single "Protestant" does NOT believe them.

    Dear Della.
Do you remember my question, last november, about the "bird" in "Lepanto"? Now, I hope i do not bother (I have already put this request in the group wall messages) if I ask you something about a couple of doubts more.
I am sure you know the beatiful poem "By the Babe Unborn" by Chesterton.
I am not sure about the meaning of the following lines:

    a) "If here and there a sea were blue - Beyond the breaking pale"
What is "beyond the breakink pale"? The "sea" or "the blue of the sea"? Being unborn, is the sea off limits for the baby or even the possibility to conceive its colour?
    b) "...the ages I have ruled - The empires of the night."
I don't understand how the soul of a baby before its birth could have "ruled" anything. The baby could "live" in those empires, "know" them, but why "rule" them? I think that "rule" in English means "govern", "have authority over", so that puzzles me. Is it possible there is a thological meaning here? With kind regards,
    Rodolfo C.
