That is a good question, Holly. Know first that you are nothing in the eyes of God and know then you are everything to our Lord. Hard to do, yes. The two thoughts seem to contradict each other, yet they compliment one another. When you discover that you are "nobody" you are on the road to being a "somebody" to our Lord and creator. "Cultivating" humility is a life long quest, and very hard to achieve. Suffering without complaining or blaming, is one road to follow. Giving one's self over totally to God is another path. Accepting that God's will be done, not mine. Reading and following the lives of the saints the best you can without recompense, recognition nor self-glorification will put you on the road to humility. Good luck and many blessings in this world of "me first."

Thank you to everyone who wished me a merry Christmas. I really thank you for it. I had a very good Christmas with my Grandpa and the rest of my family. I haven't yet seen my Mom for Christmas but I am going to try to meet with her sometime once the bad Winter weather ends.

Jeanne S, I am sorry to hear about your oldest daughter being a victim of sadistic ritual abuse. That is very sad. I will pray for her right now that she heals of her scars.

Hi Holly,This post is of particular interest to me. Sadly,my oldest daughter is a victim of sadistic ritual abuse. this was done by the patents of a neighborhood playmate. my daughter is 39yrs. old.The abuse started when she was a little over two years old until(thankfully) we moved before she turned four. She was subjected to all manner of sexual abuse and satanic programming, amimal torture, killing. etc. She now suffers from dissassociative personality disorder. This form abuse is very much active throughout the world. My daughter has suffered a lot because of this trauma.Amazingly, she is a wife, mother an RN,working on her Masters inWomans'Health. Most importantly, she has her faith.I thank God every day for the fact that she chose Him.That in spite of the efforts of her abusers, she is a faithful,(albeit ,damaged in many ways)functioning adult. Please pray for her and all victims of sexual abuse,Thsnks,Jeanne
