My brother said that some popes in the early church were made Pope at a very early age including infancy. What is the real answer and how did he get this information? Andy

Hello,(I don't know for sure if this is the place to ask an Apologist exactly, because there were a few places down the page, and none of them really opened up, exactly.

I have questions about the Kingdom of God, as Jesus taught about it, in Mathew and the other 3 gospel books.

The Kingdom was something that was already known to the Jews, as Jesus criticized the religious leaders about their keeping people out of it, and missing it themselves.

Jesus taught the gospel, BUT He called it the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven. (not the gospel of the cross, and baptism, etc,.the initial things that Paul called rudimentary, because Paul could not often go on to the richer deeper things, because the people were living 'natural only'.

Did the gospels say this Kingdom was just in Heaven when we die? No. Jesus said we are to be a kingdom of priests and kings, and that we are to reign on the earth. (bible quote)

What teachings where does CC have about this?

    Hello again.

My cousin has invited us to his daughter's baptism at their Church (Faith Presbyterian Church) in Sacramento. I wasn't sure if we should go. They are doing the baptism during their church service. Should me and my husband go and our young kids or should we just go to the brunch after the service? Is a Presbyterian baptism valid?

Thank you so much for what you all do! God Bless you all

Several years ago I found a book that had been written in the 1930s. I believe it was titled "Doctors of the Church." It helped me on my journey back to the faith. I loaned it to a friend and have never gotten it back. I have been unable to find it since. Any ideas on where to search? Or maybe I don't have the name write. One of the Chapters was about St. Pope Clement.

I have a question about the newspaper "Catholic Family NEWS." Are they really a legitimate Catholic newspaper? The reason why i am asking, is because it is now being sent to us, and we didn't ask for it. It used to be mailed to my dad, but now it is being mailed to us.

What is the best and simplest resource for understanding the violence in the OT? I need specifics for a brother with an 8th grade education that know everything and can't get passed the evil in the OT and has concluded tha the OT and God are evil as a result. A CD or MP3 would be best for him.

I'm confused about the birth of Jesus.

    1) Are we, as Catholics, required to believe that Jesus did not pass through the birth canal when He was born?

    2) Are we required to believe He miraculously appeared through Mary's stomach or some other way without going through her birth canal?

My niece was Catholic but changed her religion some time ago. She is getting married soon to a young man who is a different faith. I don't think they are getting married in the Catholic Church. What do i need to ask, and is it wrong for me to go to their wedding.
