Hi Jaypeeto4, prayers said my friend, ask away any time. I'm pretty much in the same situation myself, but am learning to trust more and more, and so far have not been abandoned, the Lord does provide! Will keep you in mine...
“Can you not buy two sparrows for a penny? And yet not one falls to the ground without your Father knowing. Why every hair on your head has been counted. So there is no need for you to be afraid.” Mt 10:29-31
Rather a brave looking fledgling, don't you think?
Me again Japyeeto, to say last week I noticed another group that deals mostly with discussing,
supporting and helping each other through the 33 day consecration. I think it is Slaves for Mary, although there is another group called Consecration to Mary. Perhaps take a look and see, as it is good to be able to discuss different aspects of the preparation as you go along. It took me ages to actually make my consecration, and I missed two feastdays before I felt ready, and did it on August 22, feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary instead.
Hi Jaypeeto, thanks for the kind reply and sound advice.
That's great that you made the consecration already, it can always be renewed anytime, so perhaps it is an idea to get back on the group and talk more about it, (I'll come back if you are there, so let me know) as it is not an 'easy' devotion to get into. I found that by reading the book, True Devotion to Mary, often and by re-doing the preparation prayers and consecration every year, I grew more and more in an understanding of it.
One is never really 'ready' or acceptable, even so, you were prompted by grace to head towards Mary, who is a good mother to us. The Faith is all about new beginnings; forgiveness and starting on a clean slate again, and again. About falling and getting up , no matter how many times, heading in the right direction - towards our eternal home.
