I very much appreciate your input on the Stl John Capistrano thread and hope to read more of your posts, especially in relation to Judaism, antisemitism and Israel. Another poster from Israel,stillsmallvoice, hasn't been heard from since 2006--did you know him? He, too, had valuable insights and I am sorry he isn't posting now.

I needed a Rabbi by the name of Seth Mandel who made aliyah from the Uniited States and had to be at least a certain age - with the limited information you provided I came up with him

Just curious, but how did you arrive at the conclusion that he is the same Rabbi Mandel as the one who tragically lost his son to the evil doings of terrorists? I'm only asking so as to be sure that I've got the correct person...before sending a fax to him,
Oh,as for additional information:since we graduated from high school together, we would be about the same age. At this time, I am 60.

It appears you are searching for Rabbi Seth Mandel married to Sherri Mandel. Their son was murdered by Palestinian Arab terrorists and they started the Koby Mandel foundation in his memory and Sherri wrote a book on the subject. I just noticed that you are from Israel. Perhaps you can help me locate someone who may have moved there. He was in my graduating class from high school (1967), and his name is Seth Benjamin Joseph Mandel. He might be a Rabbi, and I know there is at least one Rabbi with the name "Seth Mandel". Of course, that does not mean he is the same one as I'm trying to find.
If you happen to have any information on this issue, will you please advise me accordingly?
