I know I am just a random person that is writing a public wall message, but I wanted to say I am a huge fan of John Adams and when I read your signature quote, I wanted to say that I really like it and how much it is nice to see someone quoting a great man, John Adams.

    Many prayers, and blessings.

I've been wanting to get my hands on a good, uptodate, unbiased book on the history of the Catholic Church. I have so many questions. I'm 66 and have forgotten most of what I learned in high school. Like, what really happened regarding the Crusades? How did the papacy start (I know Peter was the beginning), but when and how did it actually come about having a pope? Etc.
