I am impressed with your posts by not just the breadth of coverage in factual & spiritual content, but also the way you used words that did not draw fire from people generally - something I have to learn.
I was an internal auditor & a project manager: both professions require me to be precise & correct with my language without fear or favour. I have stopped working & would like to spend time explaining the Church to people. While I have the knowledge (still growing) & clarity of language, I still have to learn wording controversial subjects. Small print works in professional world but not with Catholic audiences.
While I think I am quite articulate (probably in 1st quartile), what you & Pope Francis said have put words to my thoughts & feelings in ways that would likely take years of reflection for me to word, if ever. I pray for you both in your mission to explain the faith.
Btw, do you write? I cut out your posts on the thread to read at leisure & it was 15 pages long.
Hello, I wanted to say I really appreciate your thoughtful and well-worded replies to the thread in Moral Theology about Humanae Vitae. I have some friends who've left the Church over difficulty assenting to moral positions of the Church on issues such as these. I've tried to explain to them some of what you say in your post. You put it so well that I will study it to learn to improve my own apologetics. God bless!
