Sometimes there is a need to shout so that one can be heard.
This is a problem very much resolvable by the Catholic Answers Live staff, and Apple has little to do with it. All the CAL staff has to do is redirect the subscription's URL to the new URL from the old one. Just a few lines of code to change the feed - that falls on the CAL staff, not Apple. I have seen this done before by some podcast producers, and there are easy tutorials available online, even some from Apple.
This is basic 101 podcasting - CAL should be on top of this.
