I use Windows XP mostly, but have Ubuntu installed via Xubi on a second computer. I grew up with DOS and prefer Windows at this point - but I haven't used Ubuntu all that much.

I'm assuming that by Windows 2003 we mean Windows Server 2003? I was wondering why we didn't include Windows Server 2008 because I use that regularly also
![]() I grew up on DOS and transitioned to Windows 3.0; I currently run Vista my home systems and XP & Servers 2003 & 2008 at work. |

I use Windows XP 32 bit with Service Pack 3 because I have an AMD sempron 3400+.
I'm planning on upgrading to a Phenom II 940 3.0Ghz some day though. so that I can use Windows 7 64 bit. But I am thinking of trying out the Windows 7 beta 32bit on my other partition. |

I'm just running XP, although I do have a Samsung Epix with Windows Pro 6.1 on it. Im too poor to buy/build a new pc atm, hoping to change that next year though. Just need to squeeze a little more time out of this old beast.

I use Windows XP, Solaris, and Linux (Slackware) at work and school (I work at the university - sys admin).
At home, on my personal machines -- I run Slackware on one (HP) currently and the other two (custom built desktop and Lenovo laptop) I run NetBSD. My favorite is NetBSD!

My two main boxes are both dual boot XP and Vista--the box I'm typing this post runs both OS' x86 while the other box is running x86 XP and x64 Vista. I also have an old Dell PIII 933 running W2K Pro. Quote:

Since I've worked nowhere but the Microsoft campus since graduating college, it's probably no surprise that I use MS OS's - Vista (blech) and Win7 (yay!) at the moment, although I've also used Server 2008 a little in the past (not power-using, I just liked the stability). I haven't used Linux stuff much since college, and never got familiar with the different distributions.

I was on XP Pro but I rolled back to XP Home when I bought my new system. I intend to put a bootloader in shortly and partition one drive and add Elise (Linux) to one partition and Windows 7 to another, new partition.
I found it amazing that the shop that sold my new system to me told me to stay away from Vista.
