Default Name the worst movies ever made

on my list:

Ace Ventura / Pet Detective (didn't see whole thing.. was "forced" to watch it because i had an emergency one time & had to stay with this family one night.. and they were not as "intellectual" as I... Not being a snot just calling it as it is..) Probably the dumbest, most disgusting movie ever made..

anyhow.. another one would be

Westworld!! awful movie... no "moral" to the story whatsoever... either that or i missed it.. but i doubt I missed much.. violent &.. un-realistic.. waste o'time.. The idea was intriguing but .. I thought of about 20 ways they could have made it interesting.. too bad they didn't consult me before releasing it... So why did i watch it.. hmm... I'd get pounced if i answered that one... so ... uh... I'm taking the cowardly way out.. suffice it to say (and isn't this the excuse that always works anyhow??? Namely: "i am human"..

Just goes to prove Purgatory.. i.e: God punishes us even for being human..

I'm trying to think of a 3rd worthless movie... but haven't watched any new ones... or even old ones.. that are totally worthless... (in a long time).

Conversion story wise, I need to write one up for everyone at some point. As for Water World, it was a tanked film in the 90s (?) that was all around bad. Someone mentioned the Silver Chalice. I can't speak for the film, but the book is good.

You just have to see this one to appreciate it.

Ed Wood was voted the worst movie director of all time by Hollywood back in the 1980's.
Bad acting, bad sets, bad script, and cheep special effects (i.e. painted paper plates suspended from a fishing pole that hovers over a model of Hollywood).
You forgot to mention that Bela Lugosi was the star....only he died before it was hardly started. So they cut in random bits of home movies with Lugosi in them, along with shots of Ed Wood's girl friend's chiropracter wandering around in a long black cape......
There is one section with Bela Lugosi walking up to the door of his own house...They play it over and over and over and over......

(I actually own this one).

Do not go see the new Disney flick "G-Force". Even if your children BEG you to take them.

You will lose IQ points by the dozen.

Not even the cool 3-D effects (and they are pretty cool) can save this turkey...er, RODENT, of a movie.

(of course, if you are dragged to this film against your will....do what I did: plug your iPod in your ears and close your eyes behind the 3D glasses, and no one will know you are taking a power nap!)

Thumbs down Re: Name the worst movies ever made

My First and foremost ever bad movie was one called "Open Water" or something like that. It was about two divers that were left behind in the ocean after a dive trip with a large group. The movie showed them floating around getting bit by sharks, and throwing up and whining about being complete idiots and the likes. Finally everyone dies and the movie ends. So I guess every cloud does have a silver lining after all.
My second worst ever bad movie was another one that had water as a theme, I think it was called Dark Water and was about some woman renting an apartment and some little girl that was killed and thrown into a water tower or something. and the apartment being haunted and dirty water like ruining this woman's life. My goodness gracious I was besides myself, So I just punched the guy setting next to me and ran out like a scared little girl.
My third worst was Public Enemy's not because it was so bad but because I expected much more considering the leading actors.
0 thumbs up

Airport '77 is probably one of the most entertaining bad movies ever made.

Their big plan to save the airplane is to raise it out of the water with balloons. High-tech balloons, I guess. Which yielded the classic dramatic line, "Increase the pressure!"

That, Jimmy Stewart, and the general cheesiness all make it worth watching. Certainly not for the plot, though.

the first movie I couldn't finish was Napoleon Dynamite, which is ironic because everyone says I look and talk like him. I got about 30 minutes in and realized it was written to be watched while in an altered state of consciousness. I'm also a fan of off the wall stupid humor but this was just boring.

Life is Beautiful. Can't believe it won the Oscar. Central Station, which was nominated in the same category, was much better (trailer in English here).

Battlefield Earth. Anything that has to do with Scientology is bad.

Cable Guy. I like Jim Carrey and Matthew Broderick, but this film is so bad. It's supposed to be a comedy, but it doesn't come even close.

Moulin Rouge. Although I like musicals (Grease being my favorite).

Crossroads, starring Britney Spears. Ewww!

Borat.

Godfather III. Darn Sofia Coppolla! Worst actress ever!

Anaconda and its sequels.

Dogma.

Not Another Teen Movie.

There's something about Mary. Though I love Cameron Diaz.

A Clockwork Orange.

Twighlight and its sequels.

Titanic II - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f720MNvOeVc (it's a real film)

Beauty and the Beast - live action version starring Estella Warren (the blonde from Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes)

Speed II

The Italian Job (the original one, starring Michael Cane)

Junior (Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito)

There are others that I can't remember right now.

Also keep in mind that he worked on a limited budget and couldn't keep re-filming a scene until the actors got it right as is the case with modern films. He had enough money to film a scene only a few times. If it didn't come out perfect, he had to go with the best version of that scene that he had.

Also, he needed an established star to be associated with the film, otherwise it would have been an even bigger flop. That's why he had the dead Bela Lugosi starring in the film.
