Default Series of Paintings dedicated to St. Maximilian Kolbe

Last Sunday, I came across an article about a series of Paintings dedicated to St. Maximilian Kolbe. The paintings are supposed to depict a visual novena to St. Maximilian Kolbe, and are based on moments from the Saint's life.

The concept for the paintings came from Friars Joseph Wood and Robert Melnick. The commissioned artist was Jennifer Holmes. You will find the series of paintings, along with their accompanying meditations, on Pg 7 - 10 of the spring 2009 edition of Immaculata magazine.

What beautiful work! I love the tapestry theme. It lends itself well to this kind of subject.
