Default Carmelite Wake

I just returned from the wake of a third order Carmelite. She was dressed in the brown and white burial gown. The room was filled to capacity . We said the rosary and Carmelite prayers familiar with the deceased .We have a large group and it was a impressive prayer service not only for the Carmelite members , but also for the family and friends.
She lived a long life and was a long time tertiary. This is the normal send-off of a member of our group.
Yet I can't help but reflect on the many, many graces that she received in that short time with all those prayers, and the amazing thought of her being remembered at each of our meetings in the future where we will continue to keep her in our thoughts and prayers.
What a BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY we have embarked on.

Yes, the bond of Carmel is truly wonderful. We anticipate heaven by manifesting that love, both in life and in death. Now, she had entered the land she had been waiting for here on earth, in the company of our Lady, Queen and Mother of Carmel! Thanks for sharing!
