Need advise about working at a Casino
So i am on my 3rd week at a Casino. I like the job itself, i empty out slot machines and count money basically, but it interferes with nearly everything else. My days off arent not secured, my hours are from 4 to whenever we get done (which has been from 11 am to 4 pm) and i have not been physically able to go to mass or finish up my RCIA class. When i first started i did not have a problem with casinos or gambling as entertainment, but when i see the amount of money they have daily it makes me realize how much people throw into the machines everyday. I dont know how to describe it but i am starting to get bad vibes or something, or sad that people throw their money away. I know no one is forcing people to go to the casino and i am glad business is booming so i know i will have a job, so i dont know why i think this way. The point of this is, should i look for another job, one that is more family friendly? Going back to the military appeals to me but a lot of that isnt family friendly too. Also would like to learn a trade at the local college and prusue that (electrician). I am kind of at a loss on this one, so prayers and advice are GREATLY welcomed.

Re: Need advise about working at a Casino
If you are unhappy with this job maybe you should look elsewhere. There is nothing wrong with what you are doing however, in the casino; it is a just another business. People spend their money on all kinds of things: movies, fast food, CD's or whatever. Gambling is just another way some like to spend their money, and as long it is done in moderation (like all things) it should not be a problem. I'm sure you did not take this job with making it career in mind, you should most definitely look into attending school.
