Default St. Luke

Mary Virginia on this group read my comment that I had a heart condition, and would like to know if there's a saint to help with that. She suggested St. Luke, and another.

I have been losing mornings for almost a year, after I get up, when a sleep comes upon me and I lay back down and nap until noon, or after. I had also been out of Church for eight or nine months, I lost track. This morning, after my daily prayers, I just spontaneously prayed, "St. Luke, please energize me."

I stayed up until 8:05AM. When the Cathedral office was open, I called to make an appointment with a priest, at the Cathedral, for Confession and counseling. The associate Pastor fielded my call and set an 11:15AM appointment for today. So, I got ready, took the bus downtown, had lunch at the bus station, and walked on over to the Cathedral. The Pastor met me, and we agreed for me to call next week for a longer appointment with him. I got in line for Confession; made the best Confession I could in so little time; said a Rosary after that and before the noon Mass started, after I did my Penance. I've been trying to get on a daily Rosary schedule. During Mass, I received the Holy Eucharist and after Mass I walked back to the bus station and caught a bus home, my heart rejoicing inside me. On the bus, everybody were cordial and of good will. I credit my part of all this to St. Luke.

I just wanted to pass it along.
