I purchased a moderately priced Savinelli briar, and I'll be attempting to break it in soon.

After a couple of smokes, the pipe is about half broken in. Now if I can just avoid accidently inhaling tiny bits of smoke on occasion.

Which model? Can you post pictures? What drew you to that particular pipe?
Inquiring minds want to know!

I have a Savinelli pipe that I bought used from a pipe shop.($30) It is my favorite Briar pipe out of the 5 Briars that I have. Now, when I say favorite, I mean in regards to how it smokes, this pipe just comes across like a real pipe designed to smoke smoothly and effortlessly. It's not the best looking pipe that Savinelli ever made, I'm sure, but it smokes very well and that's what matters most. It is an 'Estar' 677 KS . I only started smoking a pipe back in the summer (2011) but I can say that this is the pipe I go to most often. Another thing I noticed about pipe smoking in general is that I do not have any cough issues like with cigarrettes, I actually feel no respiratory side effects at all from it, only some tongue/mouth sensitivity when I over do it. Also, I can go without pipe smoking, unlike when I use to smoke cigarettes, which I couldn't ever go without. I enjoy pipe smoking, but it can be a somewhat lonesome hobby it seems.
