Read it recently, maybe two or more years ago.
I would say it brought all the elements of confusion together from the lfirst two books.
Out of the three I believe I enjoyed this one more.
But you asked about the mythological content. Well it was a bit strange with Merlin in there, and then something to do with Camelot, right? And the head, Weston, and Ransom. But I found it very different from the other because it did answer some questions. It took place on Earth. Different characters by far. And Light conquered Darkness in the end obviously.
