Default How many forum moderators have died?

Apologies for being so direct, but I was surfing around the CAF site and looking up old old threads and found a bunch of moderators had "RIP" after their names.

Gotta tell ya ... I was shocked. Really.

So, I was being nosey ... sorry ... curious. How many moderators have passed away?

[And is it THAT stressful????]

Default Re: How many forum moderators have died?

Two moderators have passed away during the almost eight years CAF has been online. Neither died in the performance of duty, but we very much value the contribution they made. We put "RIP" on their account when it was closed following their death to honor their memory and to request prayers for the repose of their soul.

Please keep in mind two things: One, any report of death is a serious matter and should not be discussed flippantly (e.g., "Gotta tell ya ... I was shocked. Really. ... [And is it THAT stressful????]"), especially out of respect and concern for friends and/or family of the deceased who may continue to use the forums. Two, any and all questions about individual moderators and their activity on the forums should be posed privately, by writing to forumadmin@catholic.com.

Thanks to everyone for their understanding and cooperation.
