I am trying to explain how Catholics understand Mary to someone who I believe is close to converting to Catholicism. He is hung up on Mary being sinless. He cannot understand/accept that Mary is without sin. I mentioned to him that Mary, although sinless, needed Christ too. I am unable to explain why, though. Why did Mary need a savior as well?
Why did Mary need Jesus if she was without sin?
