My Catholic Son
I am a cradle Catholic and I raised my son in the Church. He was a alter boy and loved the church. 3 years ago his knee swelled up and his fever spiked at 105. I took him through E.R. and they admitted him and the next morning a Doctor came in and said he had broke a small bone in his knee and ithad set up a bad infection and they needed to take his leg. We was horrified , He was only 24 and as I scared . But he told the Doctor "then I'll die". Later a different Doctor came in and asked if he could try to remove the musle in the leg and try to say the leg. My Son agreed .after 3 sugerys and 32 days he was released with his leg but the thigh musle totally removed. Thank all the Catholic praying and all the Holly water and most of all Jesus . well the Devil wasn't happy at all because last year a 30 tear old man assulted my son with a golf club. My son said while he was on the ground being beatin something told him to stand up. knowing he couldn't balance with his leg musle gone .he pulled up by the back of his truck and grabbed the golf club and swung it and knocked the man down. he made it away from ther aliveanother blessing. The next morning the police was at the door , the man had pressed charges against my son for assult with a deadly weapon. my son's eyes was beaten black ,2 teeth knocked out and his eyeglasses boken,in court the other man didn't show his lawyer stood in for him. my son got charged guilty and is in prision now . He is still holding to his faith. Please pray for my son Christopher. Thank You and God Bless(gopray

Re: My Catholic Son
Your son has great courage. I have to think that God has great plans for him.
Prayers for him and for you.
Peace
James

Re: My Catholic Son
I don't understand. If your son was acting out in self defense, why is he the one in prison? Please know that I will keep Christopher in my prayers.

You make a valid point. Upon reading, I had a lot of questions and concerns about the situation too.
Sounds like Christopher needs a lot of prayer in many areas of his life. This is a perfect place for that, so I'm confident that he and Mom will get a lot of prayerful support.
Mary52, you and Christopher are in my prayers.

Re: My Catholic Son
Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Re: My Catholic Son
Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.
Amen.

Re: My Catholic Son
Jesus, Divine Lord of the Heavens,
Enforcer of all spiritual decrees,
Chief Judge of the Final Judgment,
Your Laws are multiculturally righteous.
Grant us values that seek justice,
To uphold all Christian moral ethics,
And to aid the victims of injustices.
As You forgave the worst of sinners,
Equip us with a non-judgmental ability
To forgive all offenders of Your Laws,
And to support their healing process.
You are the true direction to justice!
Dear Saint Anthony, you were prompt to fulfill all justice.
You gave God and His creation the service He required from you.
You respected other people's rights and treated them with kindness and understanding.
Saint Anthony, Zealous for Justice, teach us the beauty of this virtue.
Make us prompt to fulfill all justice toward God and toward all creation.
Help Christopher and Mary52 also in their pressing needs. Amen.

Re: My Catholic Son
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary,
full of Grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death. Amen
