Looking for a new song/music artist to listen to?
I am looking for some more music to listen to and put on the online 24/7 Christian Radio Network I am making. My personal favorite genre is Christian Rap but I love all genres and will check out an song, artist, and album you can give me. Thank You and God Bless.

For secular music, why not go completely retro? Log on to youtube and look up Max Raabe and the Palast Orchester. Raabe has re-created a Berlin cabaret band of the
1920's and they perform the music of that era using original arrangements of that period.
Something so old that it is new!

Re: Looking for a new song/music artist to listen to?
My favorite Christian band is a power metal band called Theocracy (don't worry kids, power metal has nice, clean melodic vocals). This song is one of their most popular songs and appeals to those not traditionally fans of metal due to its slow parts. Any Catholic will be really impressed with these lyrics.

I'm sure if you have a radio site up, you know of Lecrae, but I will mention him anyway because he is awesome. I saw him about a month ago at the Rock and Worship Roadshow.

Re: Looking for a new song/music artist to listen to?
Rapper Fresh IE. The B.C. Catholic just published an article about him. His purpose is to bring the Gospel to aboriginal youth through rap. Rap's not my personal style, but lots of people seem to like it.

"He Weeps" is one of the most depressing songs I have ever heard. What a downer. "If I Die Young" by Band Perry is actually *about* dying and that song's a ton more uplifting. I recall reading somewhere that the Band Perry are Christian, too, but they're marketed to country radio, not to "CCM."

Don't know if they have been mentioned as of yet and doubt they would be considered rap. . . but I got Kutless' new CD last weekend and love it!

Re: Looking for a new song/music artist to listen to?
Although not exclusively Christian, Globus are great. In particular their first album Epicon. Though they are a branch of Immediate Music, I don't know what sort of copywrite they'd have if it was neccesary.
