Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit! As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen!

This is very sad. But it is good that the trend throughout the world is in the direction of freedom and equality. I hope those campaigning for equality are not so angered by the opposition that they seek to restrict the right of Christians to marry as they wish, or to otherwise carry on their lives.

Disappointing outcome, but ultimately of little consequence. This will all be undone eventually, and one day, American will look back on this in shame.

Here's hoping lawsuits will deal with this unpleasantness.

A gay man has exactly the same right to marry as I do. I'm not sure what you are suggesting. There is no restrictions that exist for homosexuals that don't apply equally to me.

Peace

Tim

God made Adam & Eve, NOT Adam & Steve.......... thanks be to God, but I'm sure they will keep hammering on the door for years to come for change........

It's immoral and against the law of God, so as Catholics & Christian it has to be good news.
I'm disappointed with Catholics here that express an opinion that is not in keeping with the law of God.........were either with Jesus or against Him...

In gay marriages who is going to give birth to a baby if both are men?
Does this applies to heterosexual marriages?

I have no clue how this possibly is addressed to what I wrote. There is no such thing as "gay marriages".

Peace

Tim

This one floored me too. We're on the same side. There cannot be a marriage where the two being married are not free to marry, and one man and one woman. Doesn't matter what civil law states, same sex couples will never be married.

Whats odd about this is that yesterday Obama said he is in favor of gay marriage, however he does believe that it should still be up to the states.

That guy will anything for votes. I used to respect Obama but with his opinion hopping, it makes him look unstable.

That argument was rejected by the US Supreme Court in Loving v Virginia. Everyone had exactly the same rights to marry someone of the same race. You would do well to find a better argument to base yourself on.

The difference is the sex of the person you "marry" is relevant to the purpose of marriage, whereas that race isn't.

Mwap mwap. Try again.
