Default Concerned about something that happened

When it was my turn to receive Holy Communion at a very recent Mass, a priest who was administering Communion abruptly dropped the host in my hand without saying anything first (unless my memory fails). I ate the host right after I said, "Amen." The priest in question is an old man, and he has speech issues. Should I be too worried about what I did and/or what the priest did? If so, should I avoid this particular priest the next time he administers Holy Communion?

Don't worry about it. It sounds like you aren't 100% sure that he didn't say anything. Even if he didn't say anything, it's likely that he just had a goof considering he has speech issues and is older. While the priest should say "Body of Christ" when distributing, him not saying it does not change the fact that you still received the Body of Christ.

Why would you want to avoid this priest who was handing you the Body of Christ? If he has speech issues you should be sympathizing with him, not avoiding him. Some priests and extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist whisper, 'the body of Christ', out of reverence. Some don't do a perfect 'performance' every single time - you might discover that if you ever became an extraordinary minister.
