Default Is it ok to change the medallion on an unblessed rosary?

I have many rosaries from this sale or this place. Most are not blessed. I have a neices birthday soon, and I want to give her a favorite quartz rosary of mine that she loves. I also have many pieces and parts from other rosaries, including a center medallion of her patron saint. is it ok to change out the medallions?

Its unblessed, so at this point its just a necklace, so by all means replace the medallion.

Then have a priest bless it, and you'll have a one of a kind, custom rosary for her!

It's okay to change it out on a blessed rosary, too! Just remember to put the centerpiece that was blessed somewhere safe (like with your other blessed medals) and have the rosary blessed again once the new centerpiece is in place.

It is perfectly okay to change the medallion before giving it to her (you might save her a step and have it blessed before then, too).

It is even okay to change the medallion (or perform any kind of maintenance) on a blessed rosary. However, by disassembling it, it loses its blessed character and would need to be blessed again.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be okay to change the medallion on an unblessed Rosary or even a blessed Rosary for that matter so long as you dispose of the old medallion properly since it is blessed along with the rest of the Rosary. That said, if you do put a new medallion on an old Rosary I would suggest getting it blessed again just to make sure that the entire Rosary is blessed. Also, if you are putting a new medallion on a new unblessed Rosary then you should get the Rosary blessed after you are changing it. All Rosaries should be blessed. That said, I may be wrong about something in this post, I am really not sure. I am just talking about things that I think I know the answer to but I am not 100% certain. If I am incorrect about anything, I would appreciate it if someone would correct me.
